Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is a method developed to help quantify, interpret, and evaluate the environmental impacts of a specific product, service, or organization throughout its entire life cycle, with the aim to:

• Highlight and identify opportunities to reduce the environmental impacts associated with the life of products and services;
• support internal decision-making regarding interventions on processes and products;
• identify strategic directions for the development of new products or services;
• compare the impact of different similar products;
• improve communication with stakeholders.
